How to use the chain user feature?

A chain ID is used to link multiple listings together so a chain user can access all listings in extranet with one login. The concept is like a group login. 

It is best the chain ID is created/ added at time of property creation via API. The element is ‘chainID’. There is also an option to add a chain ID to a property manually via the extranet.

Especially for PMCs where their inventory stock can increase regularly, a chain ID for the group will link any new listings added automatically to a chain user access.

The difference with using a global user access for this setup is that it will not be automatic. There is a need to continuously link a newly added property to the global user login.

How does it work?

  1. Create a Chain User and allocate chain ID
  2. On HOME page > Chain Users Module > + (Add)




  1. Set Chain ID
  2. Enter the Chain Name
  3. Enter contact name
  4. Enter username (This will be used for login)
  5. Enter country code (Telephone country code)
  6. Enter telephone number
  7. Save changes > An email is triggered to the user with a link to set password and access key.


1. Click on ‘SET PASSWORD’, the below window will pop up



2. Reset both password and access key
3. Save changes

Note: Please ensure, while creating the property, the parameter "ChainID": " ", must be set to link the property automatically to the specific chain user. If the property is created without a chain id, this can be added using the edit property API.

Once chain ID is created, you can add a property(s) to the chain ID.

User is not able to login if there are no properties linked to the chain ID assigned to the user.

How To Change The Chain ID For A Property Via Extranet?

1.Property > Modify Chain



2. Pop up with list of chain IDs

3. Select new chain ID and SAVE

How To Change/ Reset Chain User Password Or Access Key?

You can change/ reset password and access key for a property.

Chain Users module > ‘eye’ icon



Click on ‘CHANGE’ to reset password and/ or access key. An email will be triggered to registered user with reset password/ access link.

A user can also change/ reset their own password and access key. Login to extranet > Setting on top right of page > Select require option - Change Access Key/ Password.

  1. On login defaulted to first property on list
  2. Click on icon (Top right)

3. Pop up with list of properties linked with the chain ID
4. Select property to view > SWITCH
